1. The Mug That Somehow Became Permanent
I didn’t choose it. I just kept reaching for it.
Now it has seniority.
Other mugs exist, of course. They sit there politely, waiting for an opportunity that may never come.
2. Grocery Store Timing Is Now a Strategy
I know when the bread is freshest, when the parking lot is reasonable, and which checkout line moves like it has a future.
This is not planning.
It is awareness, which sounds better and requires fewer explanations.
3. Calendar Alerts Still Think I’m Employed

4. Leaving The House Takes Longer Than Expected
Not because of traffic. Because of the return trips.
Wallet. Keys. Sunglasses. Something I remembered while halfway to the car.
I have a dedicated turn-around spot 2 blocks from the house, and the driveway has seen more of me than some relatives.
5. This Week’s Unexpected Gratitude
A quiet morning with nowhere urgent to be.
Coffee still warm. House still still.
A small window of time that did not ask me to improve it.
