1. Reusable Bags Are Never Where I Need Them
At home, they fill a cabinet.
At the store, they live in the trunk.
I remember them right after checkout.
2. The Package Tracking Map Lies Calmly
It says my order is nearby.
Nearby apparently means three towns over.
I watch the little truck icon like it owes me money.
3. The Garden Hose Has One Bad Mood
I pull gently.
It knots immediately.
Then it catches on a chair, a rock,
and possibly my character.
4. Chairs At Events Are Getting Lower
I sit down fine.
Getting up becomes a small engineering project.
I make one quiet sound and hope nobody files a report.
5. This Week’s Unexpected Gratitude
A cold drink that stayed cold.
Not forever.
Just long enough.
That was plenty.

A few more that read like a good exhale:

Bill, I love your writing! It makes me smile. Thanks for sharing it.
About the bags, why don't I put them where I know I will use them? Long-time habit. sigh
