1. I Schedule Around Coffee Now
Nothing important should happen before the first cup.
Anything scheduled too early feels like an insult to my nervous system.
Coffee is not a beverage.
It’s a boundary.
And I respect it.
2. The Morning News Is Optional
Some mornings I don’t need headlines to get started.
Birds outside, coffee inside, and the house staying mostly peaceful.
That’s plenty of information for one day.
If something major happens,
someone will text me.
3. My Phone Is Loud Even When Silent
It buzzes with noises I swear I never heard before.
I check it and find nothing, which feels personal.
Then it shows me a notification I already cleared yesterday.
It’s not a device.
It’s a coworker.
4. Time Moves Faster After Lunch
Morning stretches out like it has nowhere to be.
Then lunch happens and the afternoon disappears like a magician.
I blink and it’s almost dinner, with no evidence.
Science probably explains this.
And I probably skipped that day.
5. This Week’s Unexpected Gratitude
A slow start that didn’t need defending.
No rushing, no explaining, no apologizing.
Just a quiet morning, doing its job.

See you next Friday. Same porch. Different socks.
If this felt like a good exhale, a like/restack helps it find another porch.

A few more that might feel familiar:

My afternoons seem drag while morning zips, but I usually have tasks each morning that give it structure. Regardless, I seldom have days filled with tasks.
