1. I Listen to My Body More Now
My body has opinions, and lately it shares them early.
A knee will file a complaint before I even stand up.
And annoyingly, it’s usually right.
I don’t ignore it anymore.
I negotiate.
2. The Afternoon Nap Is a Suggestion, Not a Failure
I’m not “taking a nap.”
I’m closing my eyes for ten minutes to reboot the system.
It’s a brief pause, not a personality flaw.
Then I sit up.
Reset complete.
3. Simple Meals Are Winning
I used to want variety and complicated recipes.
Now I want something easy that doesn’t start a kitchen project.
Fewer decisions, same satisfaction, less cleanup.
A sandwich has entered its prime.
So have I.
4. The Week Always Ends Somehow
No matter how Monday shows up, Friday eventually arrives.
Some weeks feel smooth, some feel like a dropped jar of marbles.
Either way, the calendar keeps walking forward.
That’s oddly comforting.
Reliable, at least.
5. This Week’s Unexpected Gratitude
Friday afternoon light coming through the window just right.
And nowhere I need to go to deserve it.
Just home, and time, and quiet.

New Friday Takeaway is up: a few laughs, one good takeaway, and permission to exhale.
Yes, my body has sooo many opinions. They are usually spot on!
